B2B Content Lead

Gripped, a Digital Marketing Agency working in the B2B technology/SaaS space, are hiring a talented Content Lead to take responsibility for content planning, strategy and production.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and strategic Content Lead to oversee our content development initiatives. In this role, you will work closely with our strategy and account teams to create high-quality, compelling content for a variety of B2B clients. While you won’t manage a team directly, you will brief in and review the work of freelancers, ensuring all content aligns with client objectives, is on-brand, and meets the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Content Strategy Development: Collaborate with internal teams to develop content strategies tailored to client needs, target audiences, and business goals.
  • Freelance Oversight: Work alongside the Resource & Workflow Manager to coordinate with freelancers to ensure content projects are delivered on time, against a rich brief, and meet quality standards.
  • Content Review & Quality Assurance: Review content for accuracy, clarity, engagement, and adherence to brand voice and client requirements, providing constructive feedback to freelancers as needed, keeping documentation of customer ToV and writing styles up to date in-life.
  • Content Creation: Draft, edit, and optimize a range of B2B content pieces including whitepapers, blog posts, case studies, website copy, and more.
  • Content Planning & Calendar Management: Develop and manage content calendars, ensuring timely production and publication of client deliverables.
  • SEO & Analytics: Ensure all content is optimized for search engines and supports SEO best practices, working closely with our analytics team to understand content performance and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Customer understanding: Develop long-form thought leadership content for our customers, based on your deep knowledge and understanding of their audience and messaging. Including, doing your own research in relevant watering holes to understand the topics top of mind in their market.
  • Content Delivery Evolution: Own innovating the ways we deliver content to our customers to drive a better output and efficiency. Including te integration of AI tools, developing/adjusting briefing process, proactively suggesting new ways of working with customers to assist in getting the right output etc.
  • Client Collaboration: Participate in client meetings to gather insights, discuss content performance, and adjust strategies as needed.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years of content development experience, preferably within a B2B marketing or agency environment.
  • Skills: Strong writing, editing, and proofreading abilities with an exceptional eye for detail. Ability to adapt tone and style to fit different B2B brand voices.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with SEO, content optimization techniques, and a general understanding of analytics tools to assess content performance.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, coordinating effectively with freelancers and internal teams.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback to freelancers and collaborate effectively with clients.
  • Self-Starter: Proactive, with the ability to work independently and make informed decisions without direct supervision.
