Stage: Series B-D with backing, or profitable and bootstrapped. You've proven product-market fit and need to scale pipeline predictably.
Team: 40-500 employees, sales team of 5-20 people, someone senior who can make decisions and the bandwidth to be properly involved.
Infrastructure: Working CRM with defined stages, lead routing process, sales team that follows up fast, and some way to track closed revenue.

Have sales operation sorted.
You've got a sales team (not just the founder), they use a CRM, and they actually call leads within 24 hours. If your sales team is "too busy" to work marketing leads, you need more sales people, not a marketing agency.
Treat marketing as investment, not expense.
You have £5k-£15k/month and you're measuring success in pipeline and revenue, not impressions and engagement. You understand that results take 90 days to prove and 6 months to really scale.
Can make decisions without drama.
Someone senior (CMO, VP Marketing, CEO, CRO, Founder) can clear 3 hours for a discovery workshop, approve creative in 24 hours, and say yes or no to pivots immediately. You don't need three layers of approval for every decision.
Actually want an agency partnership.
You'll share revenue targets, tell us when deals close and why, involve us in company strategy, and treat us like an extension of your revenue team. You're not looking for a vendor to manage at arm's length.
Give strategies time to work.
You won't panic when cost-per-lead spikes for a week. You won't demand immediate changes when one test underperforms. You understand that constantly changing everything means you learn nothing.
We're probably not right if...
❌ You have unrealistic expectations:
If your CEO needs pipeline this week or you're trying to hit Q4 targets in November, we can't help. Our onboarding sets us up for success, then campaigns need 60-90 days to prove performance. If you need a pipeline system that works for years, we're here.
❌ You don't have a sales team:
We generate sales conversations. Your sales team closes them. If you're a founder selling everything yourself and planning to hire sales "once we get more leads," that's backwards. Hire sales first, then hire us.
❌ You want to "test" with £2k/month:
B2B marketing doesn't work at £2k/month. You'll spend it all on platform fees, basic setup and minimum viable ad spend. Then you'll get some leads, decide it didn't work and move on. If you want to test the market, run your own LinkedIn ads for three months.
❌ Your product doesn't solve a real problem:
If your product is a "nice to have" or you're still searching for product-market fit, marketing won't fix that. We can't create demand for something people don't need. Fix the product first, prove people will pay for it, then we can help.
❌You can't involve senior people:
If your CEO, CMO or VP Sales can't clear three hours for a discovery workshop, or if every decision needs board approval, this won't work. We need access to people who understand the business and can make decisions. Junior marketers who "need to check with their boss" on everything create delays that kill momentum.
❌ You're comparing five agencies on price:
If you're running a procurement process comparing us against four other agencies based on cost-per-lead projections, we'll lose. We're not the cheapest and we won't pretend to predict CPL in a market we haven't researched yet.
