WordPress Website Developer

Gripped, a Digital Marketing Agency working in the B2B technology/SaaS space, are looking for a WordPress Developer to join our Digitial Marketing Agency. You will need to have skills in Web development and basic knowledge of digital marketing to help identify creative new solutions to help Gripped customers achieve their digital goals. This role combines technical knowledge of web front-end and backend development data with an appreciation for the Marketing use cases you’re developing against.

The person in this role is responsible for ensuring that the websites Gripped manages for customers are built, launched, and maintained to the highest possible standard. Working as part of our internal development team, this role focuses on the website build using our preferred host, CMS and page builder tools (WPEngine, WordPress and Beaver Builder) and a selection of other tools that customers bring with them.

You will also be working to build and maintain elements on existing customer sites that they have created ahead of starting working at Gripped. Some of these sites are built on different tech stacks but are predominantly WordPress-based.

Responsibilities

  • Building on WordPress and builder plugins like Beaver Builder, develop and implement front-end code to build and maintain customer websites.
  • Collaborate with Gripped teammates responsible for account management to identify areas of growth
  • Be creative around new projects, from building free tools and apps that attract prospects and convert leads to testing new approaches to capturing existing demand.
  • Proactively scope and present new ideas to improve our website experience for prospects, leads, and customers

Requirements:

  • Basic frontend and backend development knowledge and experience
  • A problem solver with everything you develop to improve growth opportunities and customer experience
  • Personal interest in staying up-to-date with trends, including agile methodology and emerging best practices
  • Comfortable iterating projects based on data insights and requests from team members and the customer
