Our Story
We started Gripped in 2017 because we were tired of working with agencies that didn't understand B2B SaaS.
Steve and Ben had both worked in tech companies - Steve in marketing leadership roles at MessageLabs, Colt, and Essensys, Ben in proposition, product and commercial roles at similar businesses. We kept hiring agencies that treated B2B like it was B2C with longer sales cycles. They'd optimise for traffic and clicks instead of pipeline. They'd report on vanity metrics instead of revenue impact. They'd launch campaigns without understanding our sales process.
So we built the agency we wished we could have hired.
Eight years later, we're 25 people serving 30 active clients. Average client relationship is 4 years. 80% retention rate. Most clients found us through search, tried us, got results, and stayed.
We're not the biggest agency. We're not the flashiest. We're just very good at generating pipeline for B2B SaaS and tech companies.
Meet The Team
Steve Eveleigh, Co-Founder
Steve has 20 years marketing and product marketing experience across telecoms, infrastructure and SaaS businesses. He's the former CMO of Colt Technology Services and Essensys, with earlier roles at Star, Claranet and BT.
He's spent two decades figuring out how B2B tech companies take an idea, find an audience, and turn it into revenue. Now he does that for clients instead.
A fully signed up contrarian, politics obsessive, aspiring foodie and content pusher, Steve enjoys the art of the debate.
Ben Crouch, Co-Founder
Ben has 16 years proposition, product and sales experience across technology platform and SaaS providers. He's held leadership roles across businesses including MessageLabs, Star, Claranet, 4th Office and Essensys.
Taking something complex - whether it's a message or a process - and distilling it down to something everyone can understand is how Ben gets his kicks.
Downtime is spent either cooking or being cooked for, followed soon after by a run or session in the gym to even things out.
The Team
We're 25 people. Account managers and Strategists who own strategy, planning and client relationships. Specialists who execute: paid media, SEO, GEO, content, design, web development.
No layers between you and the people doing the work. Your account manager is in your calls, your strategist owns the strategy, manages execution. That's it.
